Man robbed on Cleveland Avenue 1:48 p.m., July 17, 2006--Newark Police are investigating the robbery of a 20-year-old Newark man_ that occurred at 11 p.m., Friday, July 14, in the 100 block of East Cleveland Avenue. The man was walking along the street when he was struck with an egg by men driving by in a black Jeep. Three men, ages 18-22, got out of the Jeep and assaulted the man, removing money from his pants pocket. They then fled in their vehicle. The victim, who suffered minor injuries to his shoulders and head, refused medical treatment. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.
