Computer printing for authorized users at UD

12 p.m., July 6, 2006--UD provides printing for conference visitors and other nonmatriculated authorized users through a library copy-card reader station. This station was previously available at Morris Library, but, because of renovations, the library computing facilities will be closed until spring 2007.

Meanwhile, the copy-card reader print-release station has been moved to the computing site in room 002 in the basement of Smith Hall. Copy cards must still be purchased at the library; they are not available for purchase at Smith Hall.

Since the fall of 2003, the University of Delaware has had a printing-fee program at its public computing sites. The PrintLess Program applies to all members of the campus community (faculty, staff and students) who have a valid UD ID card and print in at a campus computing site.

To print, a user swipes his or her UD ID card through a card reader connected to a print-release station. The print-release station works together with the UD ID card and its attached FLEX account.
