A&S, B&E undergrad research presented Aug. 7-9

2:26 p.m., July 31, 2006--UD's 14th annual “Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences In View,” will be held Monday-Wednesday, Aug.7-9. The event will showcase the research and creative work of 44 UD summer undergraduate research scholars from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Lerner College of Business and Economics. “In View” consists of 10-minute talks, with 5-minute question periods and occasional breaks for refreshments.

On Monday, Aug. 7, talks will begin at 9:30 a.m. in 209/211 Trabant University Center. Scholars will present social science research in economics, business administration, finance, political science, international relations, anthropology, criminal justice and communication.

On Tuesday, Aug. 8, presentations will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 101 Recitation Hall. Scholars will present research and creative work in music and fine art. A showing of scholars' artworks will continue in 102 Recitation Hall until 8 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug.10, talks will begin at 9:30 a.m. in 209/211 Trabant University Center. Scholars will present humanities research in history, art history, philosophy and English.

Sponsors of the scholars' research include the Hellen-Pattison Fund, the Lerner College of Business and Economics Lerner Scholars, the College of Arts and Sciences Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Scholars, state of Delaware Research Scholars and the Undergraduate Research Program. “In View” is free and open to the University community and the public.
