Parking severely restricted in Trabant garage

Access to the Center for the Arts (CFA) garage (14C on the map above) is limited to the Elkton Road entrance while CFA construction continues. Pedestrians, however, have access to Amstel Avenue from the CFA garage.

1:17 p.m., July 21, 2006--Maintenance work under way in the parking garage adjacent to the Trabant University Center will sharply reduce available parking spaces there over the next month.

Those who normally park in the Trabant garage are advised to park in the new Center for the Arts (CFA) parking garage instead. Employees who have card access to the Trabant garage can use their cards to park in the CFA garage for the duration of the project, which is scheduled to continue through 7 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 20.

Those who choose to park in the Trabant garage are strongly advised to park only in designated areas because debris may fall from floors above during the routine maintenance being done to concrete and joints, which requires the use of water under high pressure.

Access to the CFA parking garage (labeled 14C on the accompanying map) from Amstel Avenue is closed until later this summer, while CFA construction is being completed.

Access to the CFA garage from Elkton Road remains open, however, and pedestrians have access to Amstel Avenue from the garage.
