Man arrested for sexually assaulting two students 2:41 p.m., July 18, 2006--Newark Police have arrested Vuyisani "Vista" Nyandeni of Cape Town, South Africa, for sexual assaults of two 19-year-old female University of Delaware students. On July 16, Newark Police responded to Christiana Hospital where a student reported that she was sexually assaulted in a residence on Continental Avenue in Newark. She positively identified Nyandeni as the man who sexually assaulted her. During the course of the investigation, police discovered a second victim, who reported that Nyandeni had followed her and a friend to a residence on Kershaw Street, where he had attempted to have unwanted sexual contact with her. The second victim also identified Nyandeni as her assailant. On July 17, Nyandeni was apprehended at a home in Newark. Nyandeni is affiliated with a Premier Development League soccer team in Delaware. Nyandeni was charged with second-degree rape and third-degree unlawful sexual contact and was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Facility in lieu of $11,000 bond. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call Det. J.
