Blue Hen Weekend: Basketball at The Bob

6 p.m., Jan. 26, 2007--This Blue Hen Weekend will feature the 16-3 University of Delaware women's basketball team in a home game against Colonial Athletic Association foe George Mason University at 1 p.m., Sunday, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The Fightin' Blue Hens will return to action following a 73-65 loss to James Madison University on Thursday night in Harrisonburg, Va. It was the first conference loss of the season for the Hens, who are 7-1 in the CAA.

The conference features a fierce battle at the top among James Madison, which is 16-2 overall and 8-0 in the CAA, perennial power Old Dominion University, which is 11-7 overall and 7-0 in the CAA, and the Hens.

The UD men's basketball team will play at home at 7 p.m., Monday, against Hofstra University. That game will follow a road trip to Northeastern University, where the Hens will play at 1 p.m., Saturday.

In other weekend action, the women's tennis team will compete in a tournament at Virginia Commonwealth University on Saturday and Sunday, and the indoor track teams will compete at the John Covert Classic at Lehigh University on Saturday afternoon.
