Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge at UD March 9-11

2:24 p.m., Jan. 11, 2007--The 26th annual Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge at the University of Delaware is set for Friday-Sunday, March 9-11, in the Carpenter Sports Building gyms.

Sponsored by Computer Aid Inc. (CAI) in Wilmington, the yearly event raises funds to help individuals with disabilities live and work independently and be vital, contributing members of their communities. Since its inception in 1981 with founding sponsor Canada Dry, the event has raised money for local services for individuals with disabilities, including outpatient rehabilitation therapy, early intervention services for children, day services for adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, and assistive technology services.

A kick-off and planning event, where interested participants can meet and form teams, is set for 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17, at the Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant on Wilmington's Riverfront.

For more information about the challenge or the Jan. 17 meet-and-greet, call (302) 324-4444 or visit [www.de.easterseals.com].
