Spirit Team send-off exhibition set Jan. 10

1:21 p.m., Jan. 8, 2007--UD's Dance and Cheerleading teams will converge at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, in Gym 1 of the Carpenter Sports Building to rehearse and preview their routines before heading to the 2007 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship, held Friday-Sunday, Jan. 12-14, at Disney World in Orlando.

Previewing routines that will last approximately two-and-a-half minutes each, the two teams will treat onlookers to acrobatics, cheers and choreography that have placed them, as well as UD's mascot team, in the national top 10 over the past six years. (YoUDee will be present at this send-off event, and will compete at this year's National Championship, but the mascot's skit props already have been shipped to Florida.)

The event is free, and members of the University community are encouraged to come out and show their support. For more information, call (302) 831-1581.
