Shuttle bus runs to home basketball games

12:18 p.m., Jan. 12, 2007--Shuttle bus service is now being offered to all UD men's and women's home basketball evening games during the 2006-07 season.

Sponsored by UD's Alumni Association, the free shuttle service is a safe way for UD students and employees to travel to and from night games at the Bob Carpenter Center.

One bus will run continuously starting one hour before the game and continuing until one hour after the game ends on all game nights.

The loop will begin at the Perkins Student Center exactly one hour before the start time of the scheduled game. Loop stops, in order, are Perkins Student Center, University Courtyard, School Lane Garden Apartments, Smith Overpass, Ray Street, Pencader, Christiana Towers, Rodney/Dickinson, Towne Court Apartments and South College Avenue (in front of the Delaware Field House). To calculate the time to catch the bus, riders should add approximately five minutes for each incremental stop in the loop.

Dates of shuttle service are listed below:

Saturday, Jan. 13, loop starts at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 17, loop starts at 6 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 18, loop starts at 6 p.m.
