Publications Gibbons Ruark, professor emeritus of English, “A Vacant Lot,” in The Pushcart Book of Poetry: The Best Poems from 30 Years of the Pushcart Prize, W.W. Norton, 2006; and “Words for Unaccompanied Voice at Dunmore Head,” “Working the Rain Shift at Flanagans,” “With Thanks for a Shard from Sandycove,” “The Enniskillen Bombing” and “Miles from Newgrange at the Winter Solstice,” in The Book of Irish American Poetry: From the 18th Century to the Present, University of Notre Dame Press, 2007. Presentations Two members of the Delaware Geological Survey made presentations at the Delaware Water Supply Coordinating Council, Jan. 18, in Dover. John H. Talley, director and state geologist, presented “Water Conditions Report for 2006” and A. Scott Andres, senior scientist, presented “Ground Water Availability--Planning for Sustainable Future Water Supplies South of the C&D Canal.” Awards Jennifer M. Barker, associate professor of music theory and composition, received a 2007 Established Fellowship from the Delaware Division of Arts. Service Catherine Skelley, assistant director for residence life, has been reappointed to a three-year-term as vice chair of the Speer Trust, an administrative commission of the New Castle Presbytery that provides funding to nonprofit groups working to eliminate the root causes of poverty.
