Student awards nominations sought 4:31 p.m., Jan. 26, 2007--The Office of Alumni and University Relations is accepting nominations for four student awards. The deadline for nominations is Monday, Feb. 19. Emalea Pusey Warner and Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Awards The Emalea Pusey Warner and Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Awards honor an outstanding senior woman and man, respectively. Recipients are awarded $2,500, are recognized at a luncheon and lead the alumni delegates' procession at Commencement. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding academic success, community service and leadership and must have a 3.0 or better cumulative index. Draper Award provides two $2,000 scholarships to sophomores and/or juniors for exhibiting outstanding performance in fostering student and alumni interaction. The recipients must exemplify Mr. Draper's characteristics of leadership, dedication and enthusiasm for the University.
