UD senior Katie Muth scored four goals in the loss to Penn State.

7:57 a.m., Feb. 26, 2007--The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team fell behind early and was unable to overtake No. 14-ranked Penn State University in a 15-10 loss on Saturday afternoon at State College, Pa.

Penn State scored the first four goals of the game before the Hens got on the board at the 14:13 mark of the first period on Flego's first career goal. The Nittany Lions responded by scoring the next five goals for a commanding 9-1 lead. Muth and sophomore Alexis Curcio added consecutive goals but the Hens still trailed 9-3 entering halftime.

UD goalkeeper Jessica Cerveny had five saves and freshman goalkeeper Jordan Fischer had eight saves.

UD will return to action with a game at Rutgers University at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3.
