Free tickets offered UD employees for JMU game

8:16 a.m., Feb. 5, 2007--The University of Delaware athletics department has announced that it will offer 1,000 free tickets to UD employees for the Fightin' Blue Hens women's basketball game against nationally-ranked James Madison University on Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Bob Carpenter Center.

The game is designated as University Employee Day and the free tickets are now available at the University Bookstore in the Perkins Student Center and the YoUDee Shop in the Trabant University Center. UD employees must show proper identification and there is a limit of four tickets per person.

The UD women's team, which has earned votes in the national Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 polls for most of the season, is 22-4 overall and is in third place in the Colonial Athletic Association at 13-2.

James Madison, which defeated the Hens 73-65 in Harrisonburg, Va., on Jan. 25, owns a record of 24-2 overall and 15-0 in the CAA and is ranked No. 22 in the most recent Associated Press poll.
