Trip to see ’Tarzan’ on Broadway set March 3

11:46 a.m., Feb. 22, 2007--Travel by motorcoach to see Disney's new Broadway musical spectacular Tarzan, based on the award-winning animated film, on Saturday afternoon, March 3, at the Richard Rodgers Theater in New York City.

UD's Office of Professional and Continuing Studies is sponsoring a bus trip to Manhattan leaving at 8 a.m. from Clayton Hall and 8:30 a.m. from the Wilmington campus, 2800 Pennsylvania Ave. The trip includes plenty of time to eat, shop and sightsee before the 2 p.m. show.

The bus will leave Manhattan immediately after the performance, with a 15-minute rest stop, arriving in Delaware at approximately 9 p.m.

Six-time Grammy Award winner Phil Collins has expanded his original movie score for the play, including the Oscar- and Grammy Award-winning “You'll Be in My Heart” and “Two Worlds.”

Those attending are encouraged to bring dinner or a snack along on the bus. Food containers, such as coolers, can be left on the bus during the day.

Cost of the trip is $100 for UD students, $150 for nonstudents for
front mezzanine seats--the best seats for this acrobatic-filled performance. The price includes play ticket, transportation and bus driver gratuity.

Seating on the bus also is available for those who are not interested in seeing the play but would like to spend the day in New York City. Bus tickets for students are $40 and $50 for nonstudents.
