4 RefWorks workshops offered this semester

3:28 p.m., Feb. 19, 2007--To help UD students, professors and staff manage and organize reference materials used and cited for research papers, the Morris Library is offering four workshops this semester in RefWorks, the web-based citation management system designed especially for scholars.

Each workshop will introduce the features of the RefWorks system, show participants how to set up a RefWorks account and export citations from research databases and then import them into the RefWorks account. Participants also will be introduced to the RefWorks “Write-n-Cite” feature that makes it easy to insert properly formatted notes and reference lists into a Microsoft Word document.

All workshops are free and open to the University community and will be held in the Reference Instruction Room (116A) on the first floor of the Morris Library. The workshops are scheduled for:

  • 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28;
  • 3-4 p.m., Thursday, March 22;
  • 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, April 18; and
  • 7-8 p.m., Thursday, May 10.

Advance online registration is requested. For more information on these RefWorks workshops or to find out about other workshops, go to [http://www2.lib.udel.edu/usered/classes/current.htm].
