Nursing research spring lecture series set

5:26 p.m., Feb. 27, 2007--UD's College of Health and Nursing Sciences is sponsoring a spring research lecture series that will feature guest speakers from UD, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pennsylvania.

All lectures, which are free and open to members of the University community, will take place from 10-11 a.m., in 114 McDowell Hall.

The following lectures are scheduled:

  • “Blood Pressure and Flow in Arteries: Physiology, Pathophysiology and Mathematical Models,” by William C. Rose, instructor in UD's School of Nursing, Wednesday, March 7;
  • “Practicing with Evidence: Translating Research into Practice,” by Phyllis W. Sharps, associate professor in the School of Nursing, Johns Hopkins University, Wednesday, April 4; and
  • “Bio-behavioral Determinants of Adolescent Smoking Progression,” by Janet Audrian-McGovern, assistant professor of psychology in the department of psychiatry, University of Pennsylvania, Wednesday, May 9.
