Campus Housing Fair slated for Feb. 20

9:17 a.m., Feb. 8, 2007--UD students are invited to learn about different on-campus housing options and sign up for housing online at UD's ninth annual Housing Fair scheduled from 11 a.m.- 4 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20, in Multipurpose Rooms A, B and C of the Trabant University Center. The event is sponsored by Housing Assignment Services.

Starting Monday, Feb. 19, returning students can access the Housing Sign-Up Guide at [www.udel.edu/has/loc/mainguide.html] for on-campus housing options for the 2007-08 academic year. Students are asked to bring their IDs to the fair.

Students in attendance can enjoy the Housing Fair's “Chinese New Year” theme with music, food, entertainment and prizes. Grand prizes include a free semester of housing for the fall 2007 semester, a free semester of dining for the fall 2007 semester, free housing for the entire 2007-08 academic year, free dining for the entire 2007-08 academic year, and free housing and dining both for the entire 2007-08 academic year (plus a free telephone call home to share the good news).

The objectives of the Housing Fair are to:

  • Increase student awareness of the on-campus housing sign-up process;
  • Promote on-campus housing locations and options available to all returning students; and
  • Provide a central location and time for students to ask detailed questions about on-campus housing processes and to apply online.

The fair also will feature information tables where students can learn about different UD departments and services.

Computer kiosks also will be set up for students to make housing deposits and submit housing preference applications.

For more information, call (302) 831-3676.
