Latest UD weather-related closings, cancellations, postponements

The University will remain open through the period of evening classes on Wednesday, Feb. 14. University policy is that faculty, staff and students should use their own judgment about traveling to and from campus during periods of inclement weather. The University Policy and Procedures Manual states: “Faculty and students are not expected to take unnecessary risks to meet their teaching and learning obligations due to inclement weather. When classes have not been canceled, it is a matter of personal judgment whether traveling to campus is hazardous. Faculty should notify their departmental offices when weather precludes them from meeting their teaching obligations; similarly, students should notify their professors when inclement weather precludes them from class attendance. In such cases, students should be allowed to make up missed class time and, whenever possible, canceled classes should be rescheduled.” ******* For a list of Lerner College of Business and Economics MBA class cancellations for this evening, go to [www.lerner.udel.edu/mymba]. UD's Bank of America Career Services Center, which normally is open until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, will close at 5 p.m. UD's Georgetown campus is closing at 4:30 p.m. All classes scheduled for tonight at Arsht Hall on the Wilmington campus have been canceled. All classes scheduled for tonight at the UD Downtown Center in Wilmington have been canceled. The University Library will close at 10 p.m. All classes at the University of Delaware Academy of Lifelong Learning in Wilmington are canceled today, Feb. 14. The MBA drop-in information sessions scheduled for 4:30-6:30 p.m., today, at Lerner Hall, have been canceled. The Wednesday evening learn-to-skate classes at the Fred Rust Ice Arena scheduled this evening have been canceled. Classes will be made up on March 7. |
