Special holiday meals for students Thursday
1:08 p.m., Dec. 6, 2006--Dining Services is celebrating the holidays with its annual “Joy to the World” dinner from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, at all four residential dining halls.
The festive menu includes such favorites as homemade chicken vegetable soup, roast beef, roast chicken, sweet potato pie, holiday cookies and lots more.
Students with meal plans may use a meal swipe and all others may pay the regular door price, $9.35, through UD1 FLEX, points or cash.
An ice-carving on display at each dining hall will help lend a festive atmosphere to the event. Rob Lofurno, district chef and professional ice carver, and Jason Weissberg, food service director, will begin carving the sculptures starting on Wednesday, Dec. 6.
