CN8 will televise four UD football games

9:58 a.m., Aug. 4, 2006--Four University of Delaware football games, all key Atlantic 10 Conference contests, will be televised this fall on Comcast CN8, the conference has announced.

CN8 will broadcast two Fightin' Blue Hens games at Tubby Raymond Field at Delaware Stadium and two on the road. The televised home games are against the University of New Hampshire at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, and against Villanova University at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18.

The televised away games are at the University of Richmond at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 21, and at James Madison University at 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4.

New Hampshire and James Madison have been selected the preseason favorites to win the Atlantic 10's North and South divisions, and both New Hampshire and Richmond were NCAA Division I-AA playoffs teams in 2005. The UD-Villanova game is one of the best rivalries in Division I-AA.

A total of 22 games featuring Atlantic 10 teams will be broadcast during the 2006 season, with CN8 carrying half of those contests. Additional conference games will be broadcast by the Atlantic 10 Television Network, College Sports Television (CSTV), FSNY, WABI-TV of Bangor, Maine, and WMUR-TV of Manchester, N.H.

All UD football games will be broadcast by radio stations WRDX-FM 94.7, the Fightin' Blue Hens flagship radio station, and WVUD-FM 91.3, the campus radio station.
