Aug. 18, 2006--Timothy Gill, 35, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died Aug. 12, after an automobile accident.

Mr. Gill earned a bachelor of chemical engineering degree and a master of business administration degree from the University of Delaware in 1996 and 2000, respectively.

He taught algebra, geometry and intensive math at South Tech Academy in Boynton Beach. Quoted in an article in the Sun-Sentinel, James Kidd, the school's president, said Mr. Gill quit a finance career "because he wanted to make a difference in kids' lives…. He really wanted to teach. He was always businesslike, wearing a suit, using a PowerPoint to teach math."
