Workshop topics include Leading for the Future, Diverse Leaders and Leading a Diverse Workforce, Training and Developing Leaders, Leading in a Multi-sector Environment, Leadership and the New Public Management and Ethical Leadership in the Context of Globalization.

The conference is jointly organized by the American (ASPA) and European (EGPA) networks on public administration research and public personnel policies.
