Tenor Lee Steward in recital Tuesday at CFA

5:27 p.m., April 16, 2007--UD's Department of Music presents faculty tenor Lee Steward in recital with accompanist Julie Nishimura on piano at 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 17, in the Gore Recital Hall of the Center for the Arts.

Steward, who trained at the Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music, joined the faculty at UD in 2005 and serves as assistant professor of voice and co-director of the opera theatre. He is a member of the College Music Society, Opera America and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. This spring he performs Schubert's Die Schöne Müllerin and directs the UD Opera Theatre production of Kurt Weill's Street Scene.

Admission is $12 for adults, $8 for seniors, UD staff and alumni and $3 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance at the Trabant University Center or Bob Carpenter Center box offices on the UD campus. For more information, call (302) 831-2577.
