Blue Hen tennis teams top Bucknell 7-0, 4-3
Senior Liz Perlow completed her career with 55 wins, fifth most in UD history.
8:04 a.m., April 25, 2007--The University of Delaware tennis teams closed the spring season with a sweep against Bucknell University in matches played Tuesday afternoon at the Delaware Field House courts. The UD women's team defeated Bucknell 7-0 and the men's team won 4-3.

In women's play, UD freshman Elena Berry defeated Caitlin Baffa 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, while Amanda Campbell breezed pass Kirstyn Sotak 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2.

Senior Liz Perlow ended her career with an easy 6-1, 6-1 victory over Renee Weissend at No. 3. Perlow completes her career with a record of 55-43 and the fifth most victories in school history.

Alexa Dragonette posted her team-leading 20th victory of the season by defeating JoAnna Grossman 8-1 at No. 4, Laura Honig topped Camille Simonetti 8-4 at No. 5 and Kristen Mueller defeated Tiffany Card 8-5 at No. 6.

Berry and Campbell teamed up to defeat Baffa and Simonetti 8-3 at No. 1 doubles, while Dragonette and Brittany Barsky defeated Sotak and Weissend 8-3 at No. 2. Perlow and Julie Schiller posted an 8-1 win over Card and Grossman at No. 3.

In men's play, UD's Nolan Greenberg edged Ira Reibeisen 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, Sam Barrer defeated Jonathan Brenner 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, and Jon Schwartz defeated Ben Young 6-4, 2-6, 10-6 at No. 6.

Bucknell picked up singles victories from Ryan Sandburg, Zach Hascoe, and Daniel Bednarek. Sandburg defeated Austin Longacre 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2, Hascoe topped Matt Liebman 3-6, 7-5, 10-5 at No. 3, and Bednarek beat freshman Camilo Perez 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6.

Longacre and Andrew Blumberg recorded an 8-3 win over Brenner and Sandburg at No. 1 doubles for the Fightin' Blue Hens, while Perez and Barrer defeated Bednarek and Hascoe 8-2 at No. 3. Reibeisen and Young picked up the lone Bucknell doubles victory by defeating Greenberg and Jason Hanschmann 8-6 at No. 2.

The UD women's team finished the season 11-11, and the men's team finished 9-11.
