Delaware men’s tennis defeats Lafayette 4-3
UD’s Matt Liebman won his singles match in the victory over Lafayette.
7:51 a.m., April 4, 2007--The University of Delaware men's tennis team split six singles matches and won two of three doubles matches to edge host Lafayette College 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon.

Matt Liebman, Sam Barrer and Jon Schwartz earned singles victories for the Fightin' Blue Hens. Liebman defeated Brett Kraft 6-4, 6-0 at No. 3, while Barrer cruised past Lee Kojanis 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 to pick up his fourth straight singles victory. Schwartz topped Steven Benezra 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5.

Winning in doubles for the Hens were Austin Longacre and Andrew Blumberg, who topped Kojanis and McGranaghan 8-2 at No. 2, and Barrer and Camilo Perez, who won their fourth match in a row by defeating Eric Wiley and Benerzra 8-5 at No. 3.

UD will return to action with a Colonial Athletic Association match against George Mason University at noon, Friday, April 6, at the Delaware Field House tennis courts.
