Looking for a teaching job--come to the fairs!
Last spring’s Teacher Job Fairs at UD drew more than 1,200 job-seekers and 335 recruiters from Delaware and 11 other states.
3:07 p.m., April 4, 2007--UD's Teacher Job Fairs are being held Tuesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 18, at the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center.

The two events bring recruiters from more than 150 school districts nationwide to campus to meet and interview prospective candidates for fall 2007 positions as teachers, administrators, specialists and other jobs.

Registration is free for UD students and alumni and $5 for others.

The Tuesday fair, Teach in Delaware Day, will be held from 12:30-6 p.m. with recruiters from Delaware schools. Registration is from 12:30-1:30 p.m., with on-site interview scheduling beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The Wednesday fair, Project Search, will be held from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., with registration from 8-9 a.m. and on-site interviewing scheduling beginning at 9 a.m. Recruiters from several states, including Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona and more, will be present. For a detailed list, go to the Project Search web site at [www.udel.edu/CSC/projsearch.html].

The interviews are “real,” and contracts are often offered on the spot to outstanding candidates so participants are encouraged to arrive early to register, dress appropriately and bring multiple copies of their resumes.
