The forum, “Gear Up, Teen Summit,” which has been planned and will be facilitated by teens, will include presentations and discussions on education, social decisions and parents' role at home.

The topics include “Sticking it out and the high price of dropping out,” “Parenting for results: Raising high achieving students,” “Self-concept, peers and friendships,” “Sexuality, drugs, risky behavior,” and “Seven habits of highly effective teens.”

Fourteen community organizations, schools and college support programs have partnered to provide early awareness and networking support to help families get engaged with a network of college access services. Participants will also learn more about UD's Commitment to Delawareans.
