Book signing Wednesday at Vita Nova

10:33 a.m., April 6, 2007--Deborah Brenner, UD alumna and author of the recent book, Women of the Vine, will lecture and sign copies of her book at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, in the Darden Bistro at Vita Nova in the Trabant University Center.

Brenner, who owns Women of the Vine Cellars and is the chief executive officer and founder of Shop4Charity Inc., has been on the frontlines of both wine production and marketing since 2004 and will release a limited-edition wine she produced with winemakers Signe Zoller and Marketta Fourmeaux this spring.

From 2002-05, Brenner ran her own marketing and public relations firm and worked with companies such as Quantel, NBC and CNBC. Before launching out on her own, Brenner worked for more than 16 years in the film, television and post-production industries and was involved in establishing several successful startup technology companies. She is a member of the Social Enterprise Alliance and of the Women for WineSense in New York, where she makes her home.

Copies of Brenner's book can be purchased before her April 11 visit at the University Bookstore.

The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by UD's Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. For more information, call (302) 831-6747.
