Talk by artist Charles Rowe in Wilmington April 29

4:40 p.m., April 26, 2007--Charles Rowe, professor emeritus of art at UD, will present his work and discuss his research, creative process and the nature of reproducing paintings at the visiting artist lecture from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, April 29, in the Shipley Room at the Rockwood Conference Center in Wilmington.

A surrealist painter of metaphysical work, wildlife and nature, Rowe developed the graphic communication, drawing and painting programs at UD during his tenure. His work has been exhibited in a number of one-man shows, collections in Canada and Europe and in more than 200 exhibitions, including the Smithsonian Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago and Dallas Museum of Art.
