Hagerich homers twice as Hens top Delaware State
UD outfielder Bryan Hagerich hit two home runs in the victory over Delaware State. He also hit a pair of home runs in Sunday’s win over George Mason.
8:06 a.m., April 11, 2007--Left fielder Bryan Hagerich hit two home runs and drove in six runs to power the University of Delaware baseball team to a 14-3 victory over Delaware State University in a game played Tuesday afternoon in Dover.

The Fightin' Blue Hens broke on top early with a four-run first inning, as Hagerich hit a three-run home run. Right fielder Danny Overcash drove in the fourth run with a double to left field. Hagerich hit a two-run shot in the sixth inning.

Also hitting home runs for the Hens were Overcash, first baseman Adam Tsakonas and catcher Ryan Engelhardt. Hagerich, Overcash, third baseman Ryan Jablonski and center fielder Brandon Menchaca had three hits apiece.

UD starting pitcher Mike McGuire picked up his first win of the season, working three innings. He was followed on the mound by Kevin Brown, Matt Heppner and Steve Miklas.

The Hens won their third straight game and improved to 10-16 on the season. They will return to action with a game against Rutgers University at 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 11, at Bob Hannah Stadium. The Scarlet Knights are 18-12 following a 21-6 rout of Columbia University on Tuesday.
