Dorm room entrepreneur at UD Monday

Arthur Wylie
4:46 p.m., Nov. 17, 2005--Arthur Wylie, an entrepreneur who began his career while a student at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte, will speak on “Lessons from the Dorm Room: Turning Your Dreams into Reality--Achieving Financial Success,” at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, in 120 Smith Hall.

While he was in college, Wylie discovered he not only enjoyed but had a knack for trading stocks. Today, at 30, he heads the Arthur Wylie Wealth Management Group, which oversees more than $120 million in assets and owns Syndicate Real Estate Advisors and AW Communications.

Wylie serves on the UNC Charlotte board of governors and was awarded the university’s 2003 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award. He has been featured in Black Enterprise, an African-American financial magazine.

The event is sponsored by UD’s Cultural Programming Advisory Board.
