Ice skating send-off tickets now available

2:17 p.m., Nov. 22, 2005--Tickets are now available for a special University of Delaware national figure skating championships send-off show to be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Rust Ice Arena off South College Avenue in Newark.

The show will feature skaters who train at UD and who will compete at the 2006 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships to be held from Jan. 7-15 in St. Louis. Among them will be Kimmie Meissner, who won the bronze medal at the 2005 national championships and who recently competed in the Trophee Eric Bompard in Paris.

Tickets cost $12, $10 for children and senior citizens, and are available at the UD box offices in the Trabant University Center or the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convocation Center, or through Ticketmaster. Tickets also will be sold at the Rust Ice Arena on the day of the show.
