International cuisine featured Nov. 14-18

10:32 a.m., Nov. 14, 2005--In conjunction with International Education Week at UD, Nov. 12-18, the Food Court at the Trabant University Center, The Scrounge in the Perkins Student Center and several dining halls across campus are offering special internationally themed meals and ethnic dishes during lunch and dinner.

On Monday, Nov. 14, Thai selections will be featured at Trabant, and for the dinner meal Kent Dining Hall will feature an “Australian bobby dazzler,” a feast that will include several delicacies native to Australia.

On Tuesday, Nov. 15, different breads from around the world will highlight the lunchtime meal at Rodney Dining Hall, and for the dinner meal at Pencader Dining Hall, classic Asian dishes will be highlighted. Italian selections will be featured at Trabant and The Scrounge.

Wednesday, Nov. 16, will shift the focus to Western Europe as French crepes and tarts are featured at the lunchtime meal at Kent Dining Hall, while German dishes get the limelight at dinner in Russell Dining Hall. To round out the feasting, at 7 p.m. in the Harrington Residence Hall A/B Lounge, desserts from around the world will tempt palates of every nationality. French selections will be featured in The Scrounge and at Trabant.

On Thursday, Nov. 17, the European theme will move south, with an Italian antipasto salad station offered during lunch at the Pencader Dining Hall. And, for the dinner meal, Rodney Dining Hall will hop continents to Africa with a pan-African sampler. Greek selections will top the menus at Trabant and The Scrounge.

Friday, Nov. 18, will cap the week’s international meals with Middle Eastern-themed salads and spreads during lunch at the Russell Dining Hall. Caribbean selections will be featured in The Scrounge and at Trabant.
