57 UD scholar-athletes are Academic All-CAA 9:29 a.m., Feb. 10, 2006--The University of Delaware fall athletics programs have placed 57 scholar-athletes on the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner's Academic All-Conference team. The team honors students who achieved a grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Fightin' Blue Hens scholar-athletes recognized included 19 members of the women's cross country team, representing 79 percent of the roster; 13 women's soccer players, or 43 percent of the roster; eight member of the men's cross country team, or 50 percent of the roster; eight members of the volleyball squad, or 50 percent of the roster; five field hockey players and four men's soccer players. Highlighting the honorees were 2005 men's soccer College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American and CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year Matt Haney, women's soccer CoSIDA All-District Academic selection Jennifer Krepps, and All-CAA selections Casey Howard, Colleen Walsh, Caitlyn Germain and Lauren Petchel. Haney, women's soccer standout Shelby Lawrence and women's cross country runners Allison Behrle and Leslie Wason each recorded perfect 4.0 grade point averages for the fall semester. UD scholar-athletes honored were: Cross country, women: Lexi Ambrogi, Allison Behrle, Emily Bunker, Claire Devine, Christine Dierickx, Stefanie Gordon, Brenda Greene, Renee Gresh, Tara Jakeway, Brooke Maguire, Liz Paul, Colleen Reid, Lindsay Schmiedel, Lauren Shaub, Julia Somers, Danielle Ward, Leslie Wason, Meghan Weaver and Sari Weissbard. Cross country, men: Matt Bryden, Kevin DuPrey, Erich Komdat, Jeremy Lambert, Sam MacKenzie, Eugene McAuliffe, Mike Roth and Ryan Ward. Field hockey: Carly Campana, Casey Howard, Kaili Kao, Lindsay Pieter and Dusti Vanderwende. Soccer, women: Jamie Flynn, Caitlin Germain, Erica Goldman, Allison Kendro, Jennifer Krepps, Melissa Kunisky, Shelby Lawrence, Kendall Lytwynec, Bonnie Mills, Megan Milstone, Lindsay Novotny, Lauren Petchel and Lindsay Shover. Soccer, men: Matt Haney, Anthony Molinaro, Alex Schmid and Scott Tsuchitani.
