'Sports Illustrated' cites midfielder Katie Muth
2:14 p.m., April 6, 2006--University of Delaware women's lacrosse midfielder Katie Muth will be featured in the April 10 issue of Sports Illustrated, appearing in the popular Faces in the Crowd section. Muth, a junior, is being recognized for her outstanding play in the week ending March 19, when she had three goals in a come-from-behind victory against the University of Pennsylvania and two goals, including the game winner, in a 9-8 overtime victory against Brown University. Muth ranks fourth on the team in points with 17, including 12 goals and five assists. Muth and the Fightin' Blue Hens will play a pair of Colonial Athletic Association games this weekend, visiting Hofstra University at 4 p.m., Friday, April 7, and returning home to face Drexel University at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 9, at Rullo Stadium. |
