11:36 a.m., April 20, 2006--UD's foreign student association, the Cosmopolitan Club, drew more than 120 people to its annual International Night on Saturday, April 15, in Mitchell Hall.

Performers included a French rock guitarist, a drummer from India and belly dancers from Russia and Africa.

“It's really a unique thing to see all those international groups in one night,'' Charolotte Corlay, a French graduate student who is club vice president, said. “It was a very big success.”

Arina Matvejeza, the club president and a graduate student in business and economics, performed songs in traditional dress of her native Russia. The Dragonfly Dance Club, four students from China, performed a traditional dance. Nicole Connor, a senior French major from Norristown, Pa., sang Otis Redding's “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay.”
