Papastavros no longer in Coventry network

4:44 p.m., May 24, 2005--UD’s Office of Human Resources recently was informed that Papastavros Associates no longer is a participating medical-imaging provider with Coventry Health Care (CHC) of Delaware. A letter about this change is posted on the Office of Human Resources web site at [www.udel.edu/hr/].

CHC has notified its network physicians of this change and asked them to refer their patients to participating imaging providers in CHC’s network. CHC subscribers who have scheduled services with Papastavros Associates for medical imaging services should contract their physicians or call CHC’s imaging hotline at (302) 995-6100, extension 1501.

This change does not affect Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware (Basic, BlueCare or Comp PPO) participants.

“Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that any provider currently part of a network (either CHC or Blue Cross Blue Shield of Delaware) will remain so during the fiscal year for which you are making open enrollment choices,” Christine Ulrich, manager, Office of Human Resources, said.

CHC-participating imaging providers in New Castle County include:

• American Radiology Services;
• Cardiac Diagnostic Center;
• Cardiology Physicians;
• Christiana Care Imaging;
• Christiana Care Breast Center;
• Delaware Diagnostic Center;
• Delaware Spect Imaging;
• Diagnostic Imaging Associates;
• DuPont Hospital for Children;
• St. Francis Hospital;
• Women’s Imaging of Delaware; and
• X-Ray Associates.
