Four UD football games to be televised, A-10 announces

1:32 p.m., Aug. 13, 2004--Four University of Delaware football games will be televised this season, with games to be broadcast on Comcast’s CN8, the CSTV college sports television network and the Atlantic 10 Football Conference’s A-10 Television Network.

CSTV will televise the battle between last season's Atlantic 10 co-champions on Saturday, Sept. 25, when the Fightin’ Blue Hens visit the University of Massachusetts. CSTV is available to more than 20 million homes across the country on cable and satellite.

The award-winning A-10 Television Network, which has received three Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards, will broadcast a key conference contest when the nationally ranked University of Maine visits Delaware Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 2.

CN8 will carry two UD games, following the defending NCAA Division I-AA champions to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., on Saturday, Oct. 30, and returning to Delaware Stadium for what promises to be a hard-hitting contest with national playoff implications when Villanova University visits on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Former UD quarterback Scott Brunner, who played for the National Football League’s New York Giants, will be part of the A-10 broadcast team.
