Pharmacy list expanded for 90-day prescription refills

11:34 a.m., Aug. 17, 2004--Good news for faculty and staff who participate in the University’s prescription drug program through Express Scripts.

The State Personnel Office and Express Scripts have announced that 90-day prescriptions will be filled at the lower mail-order copayment rate only by the following Delaware pharmacies:

• Eckerd (22 locations)
• Albertsons/Acme (seven locations)
• Pathmark (four locations)
• K-Mart (three locations)
• Target (two locations)

To see a complete list of the locations and phone numbers of pharmacies accepting 90-day prescription co-payments, visit [www.udel.edu/hr/Pharm_90.html].(Claymont Pharmacy and Family Pharmacy will continue to fill prescriptions at the lower 90-day rate.)

Copayments for a 90-day supply depend on the medication tier:

Generic (tier 1): $15 (savings of $7.50)
Formulary (tier 2): $30 (savings of $15)
Nonformulary (tier 3): $70 (savings of $50)

Express Script users can still purchase three 30-day supplies of medications at retail pharmacies not participating in the 90-day refill program. As is currently the case, the cost will continue to be three 30-day copayments:

Generic (tier 1): $7.50 per month or $22.50 for three months
Formulary (tier 2): $15 per month or $45 for three months
Nonformulary (tier 3): $40 per month or $120 for three months
