UD goalie Megan Allen is CAA Player of Week

CAA Player of the Week Megan Allen

8:50 a.m., Aug. 31, 2004--University of Delaware sophomore goalkeeper Megan Allen has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week in field hockey.

Allen earned the CAA honors for her performance during the weekend Michigan State University tournament, where she had eight saves in a 1-0 loss to the host Spartans and five saves in a 1-0 overtime victory over the University of Louisville.

Allen and the Fightin’ Blue Hens will be in action at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Rullo Stadium against Monmouth University. The Hawks are 1-1, with a 2-1 victory over Longwood University and a 12-0 loss to the University of Richmond.
