UD recognized for Heart Walk efforts

11 a.m., Dec. 21, 2004--Heart Walk captains Marianne Carter, director of UD’s Employee Wellness Center, and Richie Holland, manager of human resources, received a plaque recognizing UD’s efforts as a corporate sponsor in the 2004 American Heart Walk held in September at the Riverfront in Wilmington. The plaque was presented at the American Heart Association’s captains’ thank you reception held Nov. 18, at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington.
More than 125 UD students, staff, alumni and friends participated in the 2004 American Heart Walk, as UD turned in its best performance ever, raising $14,624 to help the American Heart Association in its fight against heart disease.
