Band’s UD performance on NPR Dec. 24

4:01 p.m., Dec. 17, 2004--A performance at UD by the Grammy Award-winning Chestnut Brass Company will be featured in a National Public Radio program next week.

The band’s performance of “Sussex Carol,” recorded at a concert Dec. 5 in Mitchell Hall, will be included in the program Performance Today, airing on NPR stations on Friday, Dec. 24.

The Chestnut Brass Company appeared at UD as part of the 2004-05 Performing Arts Series. The Philadelphia-based group has earned international acclaim for its performances on modern and historical brass instruments.
