Delaware’s Haugabrook AFCA All-American

1:50 p.m., Dec. 16, 2004--University of Delaware senior co-captain Sidney Haugabrook has been named to the first team American Football Coaches Association All-America squad, it was announced Thursday.

Haugabrook, who played cornerback and returned kicks for the Fightin’ Blue Hens, was one of 25 players honored in voting conducted by NCAA Division I-AA head coaches.

Also Thursday, Haugabrook was named second team cornerback on the Associated Press All-America team and UD’s Tom Parks, a junior, was named third team defensive lineman.

Haugabrook earlier had been named a first team All-American by the Walter Camp Foundation and a second team All-American by The Sports Network.

Parks earlier had been named a third team All-American by The Sports Network.
