Map charting workshop offered March 30 in Penny Hall

4:29 p.m., March 23, 2004--A workshop on the basics of ArcGIS geographic information system software is set for 9-11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, in Room 005 Penny Hall.

The two-and-a-half-hour workshop will show participants how to construct a customized map using ArcGIS, while introducing them to basic ArcView tools and functions. Topics covered will include adding data, using symbols, joining table data, making queries and charting customized maps.

The free workshop is open to anyone with a valid University ID card, but pre-registration is required. Interested participants should register by 5 p.m., Monday, March 29, by submitting an online form, which can be found at [http://present.smith.udel.edu/calendar/detail.php?classid=484].
