High winds expected to continue into Friday

6:15 p.m., Nov. 13, 2003--A high wind warning remains in effect for New Castle County until midnight, Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Strong winds, with gusts up to 60 mph, are expected to continue throughout Thursday evening.

According to the weather service, the wind should diminish slightly around midnight, and the high wind warning may be downgraded to an advisory then.

Sustained wind speeds are forecast to range from 20-30 mph into Friday, Nov. 14, with gusts up to 50 mph still possible until noon.
