Health screenings set at UD’s southern campus

3:15 p.m., Feb. 20, 2004--UD’s Employee Wellness Center will hold health screenings for employees and retirees from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, in Room 104 Cannon Lab on the Hugh R. Sharp Campus in Lewes. Pre-registration is required.

The screening will consist of a blood pressure check, cholesterol and blood-sugar testing using a nonfasting fingerstick blood sample. The screenings, which take only 10 minutes, assess an individual's risk for heart disease and diabetes.

The cost is 15 Wellness dollars plus a $5 co-pay—cash or check payable to the University of Delaware.

Employees and retirees who wish to participate can schedule an appointment online at [www.udel.edu/wellness] or call the Employee Wellness Center at 831-8388.
