Read e-mail anywhere on the web

2:59 p.m., Feb. 4, 2004--UD students, faculty and staff can now read and respond to their University e-mail at any time from any web browser using Webmail.

A browser-based e-mail program, Webmail gives those who are away from their home or office computers—including students and staff working in public computing sites or at locations far from the University—an alternative means of accessing their e-mail. The program also can be used as one’s main e-mail program and will seem familiar to those who already use e-mail programs on the web.

Webmail is for persons who read their e-mail on the University’s central mail server, mail.udel.edu. It offers many features for managing e-mail, including the easy transfer of address books from currently used e-mail programs.

To use Webmail go to [http://webmail.udel.edu/]. Detailed instructions for Webmail are at [http://www.udel.edu/topics/e-mail/webmail/].
