Get wacky, not wasted, on Halloween

6:10 p.m. Oct. 24, 2003--An alcohol-free Halloween bash featuring spooky games, ghost story and costume contests and a host of other scary activities will be held from 9 p.m.-midnight, Friday, Oct. 31, at the Perkins Student Center.

Jointly sponsored by all student life programs, the all-evening bash is designed to provide a spirited (but dry) holiday outlet for students in the mood for traditional holiday fun.

Now into its fifth year, the free event typically draws more than 500 students and includes activities ranging from belly-dancing to juggling to tarot card reading to pumpkin painting. This year’s event will feature an open-mike ghost story competition and a costume contest as well.

In addition to holiday related activities, spooky-themed refreshments and mocktails will be available.

The event is open to the campus community, and parents visiting for the weekend are also encouraged to come. For more information, call 831-8334.
