Engle posts ‘triple double’ in UD volleyball loss

2:29 p.m., Oct. 29, 2003--University of Delaware junior volleyball player Sarah Engle had the best game of her career Tuesday, although the Fightin’ Blue Hens ultimately lost 3-1 to Villanova University at Nevin Field House.

Engle posted her first career “triple double,” with double figures in kills (12), assists (19) and digs (19).

In addition, UD junior Valerie Murphy had 13 kills and eight blocks, and senior Liz Ommundsen had a “double-double” with 11 kills and 14 digs.

UD fell to 9-13 on the season. The Hens will return to action at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31, when they host the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in a Colonial Athletic Association contest at Viera Court in the Carpenter Sports Building.
