'Titletown Soup' sales to benefit charity

4:01 p.m., April 8, 2004--An Italian vegetable soup recipe favored by University of Delaware football Head Coach K.C. Keeler will be featured on the menu at Iron Hill Brewery and Restaurant on Main Street in Newark from April 14-25.

The dish will be called Titletown Soup. Newark has proclaimed itself as Titletown after the NCAA Division I-AA championship won by the Fightin’ Blue Hens and the Delaware state high school football championship won by Newark High School.

Keeler will join the Iron Hill kitchen staff in preparing the soup at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 14.

A portion of the proceeds of the sale of Titletown Soup will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Newark, a charity selected by Keeler.

The event is part of Iron Hill’s annual Celebrity Soup for the Soul charity program. For more information on the program, call Iron Hill at 658-8200 or visit [www.ironhillbrewery.com].
